We are an official 4-star Meublé de Tourisme accommodation, based on the River Lot.
You have access to the river, the gardens and the surrounding countryside. You can swim, kayak, fish, hike or cycle from the house.
The town of Prayssac is a short 5 minute drive away with a cinema, restaurants, Boulangerie and three supermarkets.
Surrounded by vineyards you can visit the local vignobles and treat yourself to the Malbec wines of this region.
You can also simply relax and admire the views.
Book your stay
The entire gite can comfortably accommodate 2 guests, and additional guests may be accommodated with prior approval. Please get in touch if you need accommodation for more than 2 guests.
Guests will have exclusive access to the gite itself while the garden area is shared with the owners and their (mostly) well behaved small dogs. There is ample space for guests to enjoy their solitude, from the veranda in front of the gite overlooking the river, to the various seating areas in the main garden. The owners will respect your distance and privacy at all times, with only the occasional interaction to ensure everything is in line with your expectations.
We will be at your service when required, and other than that your time and space is yours.
Our gite consists of a kitchen with dining and sitting area downstairs, with full width windows overlooking the river Lot. Upstairs there is a large lounge, again with full width windows overlooking the river, a large bedroom with king size bed, a wardrobe room with space for hanging and cases, and a bathroom with a powerful shower over the bath. The gite is a barn conversion, with characterful thick stone walls.
The gite enjoys an elevated position some eight metres above water level (depending on the time of year), and guests will enjoy our 150 metres of private river bank accessed by a path from the upper garden. A kayak can be made available, or some more adventurous souls will enjoy wild swimming in the serene waters of the Lot. The area is particularly blessed with beautiful and quiet roads for cycling. The adventure begins directly at our front door and guests can choose routes suitable for all levels of fitness and ability. The local town, Prayssac, has a bike shop with rental bikes available. Booking in advance is advisable. We can securely store any bikes in the part of the barn that hasn’t been converted thus far.
Prayssac also boasts the best traditional street market in the district, taking place on Friday mornings all year round. Not to be missed if you like your produce as fresh as it comes. There is a freshly upgraded cinema in the town, often showing films in original English, with or without subtitles, and of course the best of French cinema. There are three supermarkets servicing the town, plus an abundance of small local shops and boulongeries. Prayssac is a wonderful French town, with everything the holidaymaker could wish for.
Numerous other picturesque villages and towns are within easy driving or cycling distance.

our Gite
Our charming gîte offers stunning views of the River Lot from both floors, creating the perfect setting for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Step outside and walk directly down to the river, where you can swim, fish, or simply unwind while taking in the tranquil scenery.
Inside, you'll find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, and washing machine. Whether you're preparing a simple breakfast or a full meal, the 6-seater dining table can be set with plates, serving dishes, and glasses for every occasion.
The main bedroom features a comfortable double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, sink, and toilet. In addition, there are complimentary toiletries. The spacious living area offers two cosy sofas, two additional chairs, and a TV with Netflix access for your entertainment.
Step out onto the balcony to enjoy the fresh air and prepare a delicious meal on the BBQ provided. And if you need to stay connected, we offer WiFi so you can catch up on essential work or share your holiday moments with friends and family.
Pet-Friendly Option
We understand that dogs are part of the family! We welcome one well-behaved dog to join you during your stay. Please contact us in advance to discuss your pet’s stay and any specific guidelines.

From €125 per night
10% discount for stays of 7 nights or more
Longer stays mean more time to unwind, explore, and soak up the peaceful riverside surroundings—all while enjoying extra savings!
We have a minimum stay of 3 nights.
Tourist Tax
As a 4-star classified Meublé de Tourisme, we are required to collect a small tourist tax of €1.95 per person, per night. This contribution helps support local tourism and is payable in addition to your stay.
Check in & Terms & Conditions
As a 4-star classified Meublé de Tourisme, we are entitled to display the official panonceau (plaque) indicating our classification. This plaque not only serves as a mark of quality and trust for our guests but also complies with French tourism regulations.
Deposit Policy: A deposit of 10% is required to secure a booking. The deposit is non-refundable and must be paid within 4 days of requesting the reservation. Failure to make this payment may result in cancellation of the reservation.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made before 6 weeks before arrival will be eligible for a refund of any payments made, excluding the deposit.
Cancellations made on or after 6 weeks of arrival date will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking cost.
Cancellations made within 14 days of check-in will be charged the full booking amount.
Check-in & Check-out:
Check-in: From 3pm on the arrival date
Check-out: By 10am on the departure date
Payment of Balance: The remaining balance must be paid before or upon arrival. Failure to pay may result in denial of accommodation.
Damage & Conduct: Guests are responsible for any damages to the property during their stay and may be charged accordingly. Any disruptive behaviour may result in termination of the stay without refund.
Additional Charges: Any extra services (e.g., late check-out, additional guests, amenities) will be charged separately as agreed upon during the stay.
Force Majeure: The accommodation provider is not liable for cancellations or changes due to unforeseen circumstances beyond control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions).
Access: Our gite is on two levels and has stairs. It has not been “kiddie proofed” and we would deem it unsuitable for children and those unfortunate enough to be less mobile. It is not wheelchair friendly.
